The Details

Heathercliffe is a gorgeous, home from home period Victorian cottage, in the centre of the East Devon fishing village of Beer. It's superb location make it popular with walkers exploring the south west coast path, as well as families spending their holidays in this picture perfect village. With nearby attractions, galleries, local arts and crafts, annual events and fantastic pubs, Heathercliffe is ideally located for all your holiday stays.

Recently renovated, the cottage now boasts vibrant and fun seaside themes, to compliment the many original features within the cottage. There is plenty of space on offer inside and out too. The large open plan kitchen and dining area is ideal for making breakfasts and dinners a communal affair, plus a decent outside garden with patio and elevated seating area offering the chance for al fresco dining with views over Beer. A very useful utility room is available for storing your sandy beach clobber, or if visiting in cooler months a place to dry off your waterproofs and muddy boots.

The living room is particularly home from home, with smart tv and super comfy sofas to crash onto after your busy days adventuring. Again if visiting in the off season, there is a working log burner which will crackle away as you enjoy a glass of fizz or some local brew.

Upstairs there are three generous sized bedrooms. A marine green master bedroom with king size bed and views out onto Clapps Lane. There is a pink double bedroom - complete with seagull print feature wallpaper, just in case the hawking cries of the guls hadn't reminded how close to the seaside you already were! Finally a super fun twin room with two sinlge size beds, ideal for kids, with lollipop feature wallpaper, drama llama bedisde lamp and views out to the property's garden.

There is one bathroom upstairs with bath and shower over, plus an additional toilet downstairs off the utility room.

This really is a unique twist on a classic Beer cottage, spacious enough to cater for a full six adults with very useful outside space. Great value all year round and sited in the heart of the Jurassic Coast and glorious East Devon.

Great house in an idilic seaside town...

Great house in an idilic seaside town. Perfect for a family of 5. Sea was a few mins walk away and the views from the walks along the coastal path were like being in the Caribbean. Beer is a lovely little town with a great fish and chips shop and everything you will need. The house was great, very well fitted out and perfect for a few lazy days with 3 kids (10, 5 & 3). Definitely take an hours boat ride with local fisherman Kim Aplin (Boat E515), he was great. Wholeheartedly recommend this place.

The location was amazing...

Our stay in Beer was lovely. The location was amazing and the house and garden were great. Pretty well equipped - we cooked a few meals (recommend getting some fresh fish from Beer beach) and would recommend The Pig in Coombe for a special meal out as well as the lovely walk over to Branscombe. The Mason's Arms there is a great pub. We found the house a little difficult to find - didn't immediately come up on sat nav and was a little further up the road than the postcode suggests. Thank you so much!
