How to find:

Cotleigh House Chulmleigh Devon EX18 7AQ

There is a large lounge with a dual aspect wood burner where you can relax on the comfy sofas. The dining room peeps through from the lounge with its exposed beams and beautiful dining table. The dining room leads to a cosy snug and also through to the modern extension where the oak staircase leads to the first floor. Beyond the second kitchen there is a further sitting room with a TV. The room has a glazed roof light, setting the perfect lighting for some afternoon reading, or flicking through the local newspaper.

Choose from four beautiful bedrooms, three of which are en suite, and a further bedroom with twin beds, great for the kids! Most of these rooms have exposed beams. There is also a sofa bed in the snug downstairs which can be used as a further bedroom if needed. There is a cot provided for small children if you should require.

A beautiful space to gather with family and friends. Well fitted with a gas insert hob and a double electric oven, along with cream units and gorgeous flagstone floors. A second kitchen has granite worktops with an electric 4 oven Aga. This kitchen leads to a further sitting room, with a glazed roof light.

The garden area falls just short of an acre. Meaning there is oodles of room for you all to get together and a perfect space to lose yourself in the fantastic country side.

Next door is Cotleigh House, which can sleep up to 14 guests. Both properties can be rented together, and of course are perfectly separated too.

What a wonderful long weekend

What an amazing find in the most beautiful setting. The accommodation is top drawer with all that you would want/need on hand, way more than enough room for the 7 of us and the grounds were stunning. Also so well located for trips out exploring this great County, we especially liked Croyde Bay and a great food pub in nearby Georgeham called the Rock Inn.. We experienced some amazing countryside views during our stay both within the grounds of the property itself but also whilst driving around the area.. We all agreed that we hope to return in the not too distant future. It was very nice to talk with one of the owners before arriving who was most helpful and then lovely to meet him as we were leaving, most charming and very kind to show Mum the larger property – Cotleigh House before we left.. Thank you again.

The house exceeded our expectations

Wonderful hideaway, with a lovely welcome from Alison the housekeeper, who gave us the local rundown. The home managed to meet the needs of the three generations of the family, from 5 to 85. Spotless and with everything we could possibly want for. The cottage is idyllic with lots of great local pubs and only 35 mins from the beach…

We will 100% be going back

Our family live all over the country now so we wanted to spend the weekend together at a lovely house in a beautiful location. The house was absolutely perfect, beautiful, spacious and really clean. It had everything you could possibly need and we all had our own bathrooms. The gardens were gorgeous too and the host was so helpful. Will 100% be going back next year.
