The tree lined driveway on approach to this charming
chateau hints at the grandeur to come. Secluded romantic gardens
featuring ornate fountains, are interconnected with secret pathways
and enchanting outbuildings, which will delight young and old. The
jewel in the crown is the stunning azure blue pool; and with plenty
of loungers and seating, this is a stylish space for entertaining
in every season.
Tournesol will sleep 16 comfortably, based on king
and single bed configurations, two sets of bunk beds, two cots and
one toddler bed. There a some beautiful vintage beds on offer, with
quintessential fourposters and French crown canopies draping over
the crisp white linens.
Unassuming, yet stylish bathrooms fill the chateau
turrets and invite the tranquillity of the surrounding panoramas
into the castle. Lavish living spaces with feature fireplaces set
off this most luxurious of holiday homes.
When the sun is shining, why not enjoy a glass of
something bubbly by the pool or a spot of fishing on the lake? That
is, if you don't mind sharing it with the beavers! The lake
within the grounds houses a family of beavers - why not grab the
binoculars and try and spot them?
Squashy, comfy sofas line the lounge areas - an ideal
space to relax, whether you delve into a novel or flick through the
channels on the Apple TV. The ground floor turrets house a
playroom and study area. Fabulous little nooks for kids to escape
to - the ultimate hide and seek venue.
Eight spacious bedrooms are spread over two floors,
each boasting individually-styled interiors and unique vistas over
the sprawling gardens. The first floor has four double bedrooms;
the four-poster master suite has a beautiful en-suite bathroom
with bath tub allowing ample space for pampering.
There is a king size bedroom, a single bedroom with
en-suite bathroom, plus another first-floor king size double
bedroom. Finally, two single beds occupy the fourth bedroom with
en-suite shower room.
The second floor comprises three king size bedrooms
all with en-suite bathrooms in the turrets; walk in showers offer
sublime views over the pool and lake. A fourth bedroom is designed
with children in mind, it features two sets of bunkbeds and a
toddler bed. There are two cots available with flexibility to
place these into any of the bedrooms. Finally, the second
floor benefits from a separate utility room with washer and
dryer.
The open plan kitchen is crammed with essentials
you'll need to whip up anything from your go to comfort food, to
haute cuisine and everything in between. Bathed in natural
light, the kitchen is the heart of the house where all of your
party will be drawn to, the smells of fresh coffee and warm
pastries.
Finding inspiration will be a doddle, gorgeous French
cuisine, fresh breads or even a bowl of nettle soup using fresh
ingredients picked straight from the estate. Figs plucked from
the trees, plums still warm from the sun or hazelnuts from the
orchard embody the luxury that Chateau Tournesol offers.
With a whole world of adventures and places to
explore from the doorstep, you certainly won't be lost for things
to do. However, if you can't bear to leave the comfort of your
castle, find your favourite spot and cosy up in front of one of the
roaring fires with a hot toddy.
