The Water Shed Beer is a transformation masterminded by 'The
House Fixer', whose previous projects have featured on Grand
Designs, House Beautiful and Escape to the Country.
A former public toilet nestled in the heart of beautiful Beer on
Devon's stunning Jurassic Coast and little more than a pebble's
throw from the beach.
Shortlisted by George Clarke's Amazing Spaces team, it's modern
meets traditional, with 21st century finishing touches and features
like solar-powered air conditioning complemented by fittings that
have been made by local craftsmen using time-honoured skills.
Nestled on Devon's Jurassic Coast, Beer offers a charming
escape. A stay at The Water Shed blends luxury with architectural
elegance. Stroll through the village, enjoy fresh seafood, or watch
the sunset over the sea. With stunning nature and a serene
atmosphere, Beer is perfect for adventure.
The clever use of space, together with the sophisticated,
high-end look and feel throughout, is sure to amaze you - surely
this amazing space can't really have been a toilet block?
Perfectly located in the heart of Beer and only a hop skip and
jump from the beach.
Inside less is more, with clever use of the compact space
ensuring guests want for nothing, from the lounge area complete
with sofa bed to the fully-fitted kitchen and luxurious
bathroom.
When it's time to turn in, state-of-the-art roll-out stairs lead
to the mezzanine floor, where a double bed waits with the promise
of sweet dreams.
A sofa bed sleeps a third guest in the lounge.
Outside there's a secluded courtyard. Take a seat for morning
coffee, afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks. Or simply watch the
world go by as you relax to the gentle sounds of Beer Brook winding
its way past The Water Shed.
A 3rd guest can make use of the sofa bed. A small charge of £25
per stay is charged to cover additional linens.
The sofa bed is designed for teens upwards, we cannot accommodate
children under 10
Travel cot is also available on request for babes in arms.
