is a truly unique stay in Dorset.
Originally the gate house to Parnham Park - an iconic estate and
home to one of the most historic Jacobean houses in Dorset - this
3-bedroom house sleeps six guests across three bedrooms.
Nestled amongst its own acre of private grounds with full use of
the private heated outdoor swimming pool. Recently
refurbished, the Dower House includes a children's playroom,
private gated entrance & utility room.
The house receives fast wifi, Sky TV, and two smart TV's. A
beautiful dining room with period style furniture provides plenty
of space to entertain guests for brunch, afternoon tea and
supper.
The two king bedrooms both feature huge sumptuous beds, one four
poster, and one ornate French style bed all adorned with quality
cotton bedding. The bathrooms are similarly indulgent with
eye catching fixtures and a deep roll-top bath, overlooking the
grounds.
The main bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, the
second bedroom also has a king-size bed and the third bedroom can
be made into two singles or one double. On request the larger
bedrooms can have an additional 'trundle' style bed to provide a
further single bed. The children's TV room on the ground
floor can be used as a single bedroom with 'Z bed' on request.
During your stay, you can collect fresh eggs from the estate
chickens and enjoy walks to local Beaminster and Netherbury via the
numerous public footpaths criss-crossing the Parnham Estate,
meandering their way to Beaminster and neighbouring villages
beyond.
The Dower House is your chance to share in this historic home
and is very much a slice of Dorset estate life.

Notes
Gated access, driveway and parking for 3+ cars. There is a
single EV charge point available at the property.
Dogs are welcome to accompany you, subject to pre-approval from
UHS. A dog supplement charge of £100 applies per dog.
Swimming pool is not gated or alarmed. Guests to be aware of
this if young children accompanying on booking.
