Little nut cottage has everything for a sumptuous, cosy & romantic trip to the Lake District

The Details

Open plan living and dining area with a seriously cosy and romantic sitting room, beautiful log burner and some fantastic literature to peruse. The ground features the compact galley style kitchen, which is extremely well equipped, including brand new induction hob, American style fridge freezer, Nespresso coffee machine all underpinned with calming ashen-slate colour theme, accentuated with copper features fittings. A very functional and stylish setting for concocting your meals. Whether you're fuelling up ahead of a day's hike, or topping up after a rainy lazy day in, this kitchen has everything you need along with inspirational interior tips to take home.

Both bedrooms on the first floor have been intricately designed to harness the natural materials, textures and colours of the local landscape, pulling in the woodland and valley views. The interiors are subtle, and typify the type of accommodation you 'expect' from this area; rustic, yet cosy calming and welcoming. After a day's adventuring in the Lake District where it is easy to be humbled by the grandeur of the epic scenery and endless vistas, Little Nut Cottage gathers and wraps you up in a comforting home from home embrace.

The two bedrooms on offer include a romantic king size four poster, with en-suite bathroom and roll top bath. The twin room is advantageous for two adults sleeping separately (so great for friends meeting up), or equally functional as a children's room. The twin singles also link to form a second king size bed if required.

There is fantastic outside space, with seating and dining on natural stone paved patio, hot tub and lawned areas for the kids. A fire pit and bbq is also available for keeping warm and cooking on, well into those long summer evenings. The utility or boot room is an added bonus, the perfect space for stripping off your waterproofs, wellies & gaters, before stoking up the stove and warming up with a brew.

Little Nut Cottage really does occupy a superb and envious location and base for exploring the local focal spots Chapel Stile and The Nab, as well as the National Park's bigger draws; Windermere, Coniston, Derwent, Crinkle Crags, Scafell Pike and Great Gable. The perfect overnight accommodation for walkers, climbers, cyclists, kayakers and paddle boarders, wishing to explore the Lake District.

Swimming opportunities include inside at the Langdale Leisure Club, or if you're really serious there are some sensational wild swimming spots to be had.
