Nestled in the shadow of Ripon's 7th century cathedral, Kirkgate Cottage has a sumptuous little courtyard to the rear, where guests can enjoy coffee and cake, or aperitifs as the sun sets in this charming and historic town.

This bijou, character cottage in the heart of Ripon is a perfect base for you and your guests to explore this historic region. Sleeping up to 4 adults the accommodation is fresh, stylish and super comfortable.

On the ground floor you'll find a cosy living room with open fire, comfy sofa and smart TV. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking up late breakfasts and evening meals. Leading out from the kitchen, there is a beautiful outside courtyard, with small table and chairs; you can easily while-away an hour or two here perched with a coffee listening to the bells chiming and distant hum of Ripon's high street.

Both bedrooms are on the first floor. The master bedroom has the better view, taking in the 7^th century cathedral just a stones throw away. The master room has a king size bed, with high quality linens and ultra cosy mattress, ensuring a sound night's sleep after a day exploring the local attractions. The second bedroom is equally as tasteful in dÃ©cor, a double bed with crisp white linen for your guests. A fantastic recently renovated first floor shower room is shared by both rooms.

Ripon Cathedral has to be worth a visit, which stands above one of the oldest Anglo-Saxon crypts in England, dating to 672 AD making it one of the oldest continuous places of worship in the UK. Your stay in Ripon's medieval township wouldn't be complete without a stroll along the canal; and sticking with the town's history, the Workhouse Museum is as harrowing as it is illuminating and informative; well worth a visit.
