Sleeping up to 6 guests, Ffald y Bryn is a rustic and
beautifully decorated cottage set high on the serene Pen-y-Bryn
valley. With footpaths leading directly out from the property, you
can fall out of bed straight into the glorious Welsh National Park.
Fern filled copses and bracken laden paths meander across the
foothills of The Snowdonia National Park, and Ffald y bryn makes
you feel as though you have been transported to The Shire.
Inside, you will find a number of creature comforts - log
burner, open fire, sofas and a collection of books and games.
However, with no Wi-Fi, landline or televisions - this IS the
'Off-The-Grid' experience many of us nostalgically prescribe to
remedy our overloaded tech-ridden lives. Are you brave enough to
put that theory to the test?ย ย
Upstairs there are four bedrooms sleeping up to six guests. A
charming four post king size bed, two double bedrooms, and a twin
room comprise the sleeping accommodation. There will be no
squabbling over rooms, as each and every bedroom is sumptuous, cosy
and has stunning views out onto the fields and valley below. Two
bathrooms are available for you and your guests, with hot water
that should be best rationed!ย ย
This former sheephold on the hill, is secluded, charming and
will not fail in allowing all of your guests to completely switch
off. There are some beautiful walks out onto the top of the valley,
and Barmouth and Dolgellau are reassuringly close - a 15 minute
drive, should you crave some essentials and human contact. The
chippy in Barmouth, The Mermaid, is tried and tested by Unique
Holiday Stays, as is the nearby Mawdacch Pizza.ย
Potential guests are strongly encouraged to contact Unique
Holiday Stays for further information, details and the many
activities on offer locally.ย
Ffald y Bryn will book out quickly for 2023, don't miss out on
this most unique of stays. Enquire today!

Important Property
Notes
Ffald y Bryn is remote and guests will require a car to access
the property via a shared access gravel track. Vehicles with low
clearance from the front bumper may struggle up the
track.ย
Ffald y Bryn is 'off grid'. There is no landline and no
broadband or WiFi. There is phone signal available and 4G
obtainable in some of the rooms (kitchen, bathroom, double
bedroom).ย
No television is provided. There are plenty of books and board
games for evenings.
Water is sourced from the stream and NOT from a mains water
supply.
Hot water for one of the bathrooms is heated via the back burner
on the log burner. i.e. in order to have warm water for that room,
you must have the stove lit. There are no walk in
showers.ย
The power is provided from a solar panel battery system. Power
is at a premium. There is enough to charge mobile phones and
lighting etc.
We estimate a 20 minute walk from the property down the valley
to the A346 and the bus stop, where buses run between Barmouth and
Dolgellau.
