Lovingly and sympathetically restored in a classic style, the
chateau combines traditional elegance with modern convenience. It's
a place you can completely switch off. And though you may feel like
you're in the middle of nowhere, you're close to local amenities
and everything you need for the perfect French break.
Chateau manager Alicia lives in a cottage on the grounds (but
you won't know she's there!). She can offer a private chef service,
housekeeping, babysitting, advice about the local area and much
more. Alicia really will go the extra mile to make your stay
unforgettable - and her food is simply exquisite!
With three luxury king-sized bedrooms and three twin rooms - all
en-suite - there's plenty of room for everyone. Down the spiral
staircase you'll discover two beautiful living rooms, a casual
dining kitchen, office and formal dining space.
It's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily
life. Whether you're relaxing by the saltwater heated pool in the
summer sun, crunching through the autumn leaves on a stroll across
the grounds or cosying up in front of the open fire for a Netflix
marathon, you'll find yourself in a state of total relaxation.
Why have one entertainment suite when you can have two? Opt for
cosy country elegance or a touch of glamour⦠there's lots of room
for everyone to chill out - after all, two remote controls mean no
family squabbles! Immerse yourself in board games, books,
magazines, cable channels or Netflix marathons. Or, simply draw
those hand-stitched silk curtains and shut the world out.
The chateau has a grande landing, featuring an 18th century
antique mirror and a striking portrait of Coco Chanel herself. As
you descend the mesmerising spiral staircase, you'll discover lots
of hidden spaces on the lower level, including a downstairs WC and
shower room, utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, as
well as reading corners with inspirational views.
Every bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with a mixture of
baths, showers and wet rooms to suit your personal preference; with
two en-suites occupying the chateau turrets. There are three
luxurious, king-sized bedrooms and three beautiful twin rooms, each
with their own antique French wardrobes and luxuriously soft
beds.
One of the king bedrooms features a freestanding Victoria &
Albert bath, with spectacular views out across the chateau grounds
- a perfect way to unwind.
Rustic and stylish, the kitchen is designed for leisurely family
dining. You'll find an Ilve range cooker, American-style fridge
freezer, microwave, coffee percolator and dishwasher. For special
occasions, the dining table is the centre piece for a culinary
experience to remember.
Private chef services are available as an optional extra -
choose between casual family meals or fine dining excellence, as
well as breakfasts, packed lunches and themed evenings. Alicia will
fill the fridge and pantry ahead of your arrival to save you
shopping - everything is in place for you to put your feet up!
The séchoir, or drying room, is an outbuilding which comprises a
summer kitchen, bike store and games room. There are a range of
cycles for all ages and they are for guest use throughout your
stay. Upstairs, enjoy table tennis, table football or a game of
pool in the games room.
Outside you can fire up the bbq. Whatever's cooking, you can
enjoy it on the covered terrace, with outdoor dining table, sofas
and loungers to sprawl out on after your feast.
Take a dip in a saltwater heating swimming pool or relax
poolside with a chilled glass of wine. Beach towels and inflatables
are provided! The pool area is accessed through a lockable gate,
for safety.
