Glen Cho Breagha is set in a private estate near Callander, Scotland and is the private residence of Scottish artist Stuart McAlpine Miller. This outstanding luxury exclusive-use venue has opened its doors for private gatherings, holidays and weddings. Lovingly restored this castle offers a unique blend of contemporary art with luxurious interiors. Set amidst an expansive and peaceful 12-acre estate on the outskirts of Callander in one of the most beautiful regions of Scotland, The Trossachs. As you enter, tiled charcoal floors sweep through the grand hallway. The ground floor boasts a beautiful 100 ft. reception room with a roaring open fire, dining area, bay windows and large squashy sofas. There’s a separate library, a morning room with a digital baby grand and a games cupboard leading to a huge ‘play’ room with a fantastic 10-ft gin & whiskey bar. The unique honesty bar features a wrap around image of the painting ‘Table Top Disciples of Pose’ featured in a hugely successful exhibition at The Hoerle-Guggenheim in New York, alongside other contemporary works.
The entire ground floor benefits from a state-of-the-art Sonos music system.
Surprising touches include a bespoke cinema room that’s contained within one of the Estate’s turrets.
Smart TVs can be found on all floors and there is also excellent Wi-Fi access throughout.
The property’s bedrooms are spacious and have been beautiful styled with large four poster beds, some of which can be separated to twins. The Emperor Suite also boasts a luxury bathroom entertaining a Jacuzzi with its own under-water music and lights system. There are commanding views of Ben Ledi. There’s also sumptuous soft furnishings, luxurious linens, towels and toiletries throughout. The main floor of the house sleeps twelve, with the third floor sleeping six and Basement Gallery sleeping eight. The third floor has a self-contained kitchen.
Furnished in greys and blacks, the kitchen features an impressive aga, perfect for whipping up a batch of homemade scones. The glamorous dining room is simply magical. The ceiling boasting a multitude of glass chandeliers both vintage and contemporary. Accommodating between 12 to 18 guests with further seating available. The furniture and furnishings are unique with bespoke dining chairs upholstered with art from Stuart McAlpine Miller’s residency at The Savoy in London. Cooking equipment and facilities are available for your use. You can have your own personal chef or The Gart can arrange for catering.
There’s parking for over ten cars on the Estate For a truly unique experience, the Estate’s Ghillie can be hired as a picnic butler in the grounds overlooking Ben Ledi.
