Romance and rusticity reign at this truly unforgettable family retreat.
A grade 2 listed, Elizabethan manor house, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, oozing with history.

It was purchased by Thomas Kremer and Lady Alison Balfour in 1979 and still remains in the Kremer family today. Tom and Alison then spent a further 25 years working on the manor and it has now returned to what it was supposed to be originally. Bluebell Manor can be found in a peaceful and private bolthole, with panoramic views over walled gardens and the breathtakingly beautiful Devon Countryside. The location of this home is great for walking and literary enthusiasts. The former manor house sleeps 10, over 5 spacious double bedrooms, 2 of which can be made up as twin rooms. This truly unbelievable home is decorated in calming hues of grey and off whites, giving off a chic yet relaxing vibe.

Bluebell Manor is a great property in a beautiful location, and all of our interactions with the hosts, both in advance and while there, were very pleasant, helpful, and timely. The refurbishment of the manor house has been done extremely well, and has successfully preserved the original look and feel while adding the necessary modern amenities. We will definitely consider returning.
“Our wedding at St. Cuthbert’s was truly meaningful and the reception at Bluebell Manor made even more special by the rain which kept us joyfully together in this most amazing house. Magically the Great Hall comfortably accommodated our numbers! Thank you to Caroline and Graham who helped us manifest the happiest very best day of our lives.
